PMHS Ranked Among Top High Schools by Newsweek
PMHS was ranked among the top 500 American high schools, according to a study conducted by Newsweek Magazine.  Data was initially culled from more than 16,000 high schools. PMHS’s ranking was 235.  Newsweek, in collaboration with the research firm Westat, used proficiency rates on standardized state-level math and reading/language arts assessments as well as data such as college attendance rate, graduation rate, and participation and performance in Advanced Placement, IB (International Baccalaureate) and dual (high school and college) enrollment courses.  Students’ socio economic status was also factored.  The data was for the 2013-14.  More

Colonial and Siwanoy Elementary Schools Named Reward Schools
The NYS Department of Education named Colonial and Siwanoy as Reward Schools based on the high performance of students on 2015 English Language Arts and Math assessments.  A total of 361 schools in 117 districts received this destination.

PMHS Sock n Buskin Take Home 9 Awards, July 2015

National Youth Arts has announced the Eastern region winners of the Tenth Annual National Youth Arts Awards for theatre and Pelham Memorial High School is the recipient of nine awards with an additional eight nominations.  Both the musical, GYPSY  and the play, TWELFTH NIGHT were honored

"Outstanding work from director Tom Beck and Bravo and Brava to our students," said Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Giarrizzo.  Mr. Beck was assisted by Neil Schleifer, with musical direction by Maria Abeshouse and choreography by returning guest artist Donna Fox.
